Technology Lesson Demonstration
The lesson plan
I selected was for Spanish 1, Basic Spanish. And the technology I chose is from the website
(Spanish-games.net), which is free and has a broad range of activities I can
use for teaching Spanish. This site has a program special for beginners that
are learning to read, speak and write in Spanish that are Castilian Spanish, which
is spoken in Spain, and Latino Spanish, as spoken in South and Central America
and Mexico. It offers complete sets of Spanish lessons, practice Spanish,
games, activities, and tests. As the students work their way through the
program, their grasp and retention will gradually improve. This technology
contributed greatly to my lesson because the students could see the word, write
it, see a picture that indicated what the word meant and hear the pronunciation
and repeat it. Due to these attributes, the program will be effective and
beneficial to the students.
Due to the
variety of activities included in this site, applying differentiation would
work because each lesson has activities, games, and practice that can be used
for students at different levels. The lesson starts out with a simple introduction,
and then it goes into the lesson. After that, the students can choose an
activity, game, or practice that is related to the lesson. And the way it is
created is entertaining, easy to use, and fun. An alternative way of
instruction can be done by dividing the student into groups account on their
level. Then modify the lesson and choose a game or activity applicable to each
group.
